Behind the Scenes: Paul Stephenson, 'After Warhol: Cow'
One of Andy Warhol's most iconic editions, the Cow series (1966-76) has been displayed at galleries like the Tate and the Museum of Modern Art. Now, for the first time in history, the graphic has been meticulously recreated using the original acetate by the London-based artist Paul Stephenson.
Available individually or as a set, the four psychedelic colourways have been expertly printed as silkscreens on paper and framed by hand. Curated in a limited edition release of just 80, they form the latest instalment of the After Warhol collection, which was described as 'posthumous Warhols' by the late Warholian expert Rainer Crone.
