Fleur Dempsey

Fleur Dempsey is a multidisciplinary artist whose work examines the language of the macro and the micro; distance and detail, ideas and experience. Dempsey uses her processes in the studio as a way to realise and track time. Viewing her paintings like diary entries to capture a time of day, a feeling or a memory; we become placed in a moment.

Atelier JI was delighted to produce and publish Dempsey’s ‘Yellow and’ and ‘Blue and’ limited editions. The autographic screenprints were created using Dempsey’s carefully painted positives and specially formulated impasto and graphite inks, which beautifully translate the materiality and gesture of her paintings to print.
