Sadie Tierney

Royal College of Art graduate Sadie Tierney works in a tradition of painters and printmakers who explore objects and places where form is linked to emotion, metaphor, and movement. Tierney’s print for the Printfest commission was awarded the Boodle Hatfield Printmaking Prize at the 2022 Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair.

“I have not worked with master printers since the Royal College, so it was a total treat to work with Peter Bennet of Atelier JI in London for the Printfest Commission. The resulting two prints are views from the middle of Wastwater, looking down towards Wasdale head and up towards Great Gable and close in colour and mark making to my sketches”
