Andrew Pledge

Andrew Pledge is a fine art oil painter who lives and works in London. He was awarded David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’s Wildlife Artist of the Year 2020 for his remarkably detailed and strikingly beautiful ‘Wood Stork’ created from oils and gold leaf. Andrew won this prestigious competition having only recently decided to become a full-time artist.

Most recently, Pledge’s work focuses on more unusual species of animals and birds, such as storks, vultures. Where others see imperfections, he sees beauty and intricacy. His painting, ‘Secretary Bird’ was donated by the Artist to a charity auction for 'Explorers Against Extinction' and was exhibited in Norwich, COP26 and the Oxo Tower. Pledge worked with Atelier JI to recreate this artwork in print form.
