New Publication: Mark Titchner, ‘IT’S THE HOPE THAT KEEPS US HERE’
We are thrilled to announce our latest publication project: Mark Titchner’s ‘IT’S THE HOPE THAT KEEPS US HERE’ charity edition in collaboration with BUILDHOLLYWOOD to benefit EveryYouth’s Put Youth Homelessness to Bed campaign.
Titchner’s hopeful yet ambiguous message initially featured on billboards across the UK at the beginning of the year as part of BUILDHOLYWOOD’s Your Space Or Mine initiative. The edition launches this Thursday, 6th March at 1 PM GMT on our shop, with 100% of proceeds to be donated to support of EveryYouth, the national charity for youth homelessness.
“There’s been such a positive response to the street project so far that it would be brilliant if, through this print edition, it can now support some of the amazing and vital work that Every Youth is doing with young people across the UK.”
EveryYouth CEO Nick Connolly said of the publication:
“Mark’s artwork aligns with our hopeful and positive vision that every young person, regardless of their lived experiences, when given the right support, can thrive in adulthood.
With more than 118,000 young people facing homelessness in the UK right now, we are ecstatic that Mark and Atelier JI have chosen to support us. We continue to urge the Government to develop a national strategy specifically for vulnerable young people experiencing homelessness that helps them thrive, not just survive.”
The limited edition 500x700mm pigment prints are available in two colourways and are being released as Titchner’s nationwide project concludes. The text, whilst initially overwhelmingly positive and inspiring in tone, also suggests that it is something beyond hope that will lead to real and practical change in the world.
Mark Titchner’s ‘IT'S THE HOPE THAT KEEPS US HERE’ charity edition will be available exclusively from Atelier JI from 1 PM GMT, Thursday, 6th March.
