Yinka Ilori - ‘Paradise for All’

Our latest project with Cristea Roberts Gallery and Yinka Ilori, the ‘Paradise for All’ series of six screenprints launched at Art Basel Miami Beach.

Cristea Roberts Gallery launched Yinka Ilori’s ‘Paradise for All’ screenprint series at their Art Basel Miami Beach 2024 booth last weekend. Inspired by themes of spirituality and community, the six editions have been in production at our studio for some months, and we couldn’t be more excited that they’ve debuted.

Building off the processes and techniques used in our last project with Ilori, his ‘Here Today, Here Tomorrow’, 2024 series, the new editions were produced by our senior printmaker Ziqi Xu using thick layers of gloss enamel ink.

“Paradise for All explores the universally recognised symbol of the flower. In using this particular subject, Ilori acknowledges the paradoxical visual and social function of flowers - in art history they have been both decorative motifs and representative signs of impermanence, used to symbolise the brevity of life; in society they are presented as gifts at times of both immense joy and sadness.”
